2013

Friday, January 4th, 2013

We welcome the new year with open arms, 2012 brought us some amazing things, our award, a child and a new business of course, so we can’t wait to see what 2013 brings.

We are painting the front of the cafe at the moment, bear with us it will take a little while to get to the look we want (dad is back to work next week), new menu plans, more staff which should bring more bread and other events in the pipeline. Keep an eye on twitter and our newsletter for updates.

We are looking for a new member of staff, a part time role, someone who can cook good food from scratch, is creative with food and how it looks, and has an interest in bread. It would mean a couple of days work and a couple of evening/nights. Email us at info@trovefoods.co.uk if you’re interested in being part of our lovely team.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

1st Birthday

GOLD!

Wednesday, September 26th, 2012

We have been awarded a Gold accreditation by ‘Truly Good Food’ which is designed to recognise and reward those eating establishments who are trying to make Manchester healthier and happier by providing healthy, sustainable food.

‘The scheme has been running for sometime, and has been rebranded and developed by Edge Street Events, the team behind the Manchester Food and Drink Festival. Now, with nearly 40 restaurants accredited, our website has been developed. Its been commissioned by Food Futures and developed by Edge Street, in order to give the scheme a proper online presence in the region, to help consumers make dining choices based on health and sustainability, and to allow you, the caterer to accredit yourself online’

We’re chuffed to bits!

No.3 for manchester wire mag

Friday, September 21st, 2012

We’ve been named ‘Manchester Wire’ Magazine’s Top.3 coffee places, what an honour, along with our good friends at Coffee Fix too, how lovely!

’3. Levenshulme’s Trove is our third pick. The other two cafés might make better coffee (never fear, it’s decent here), but it’s the range of homemade products here – especially the bread, pickles and jams – that really set this place apart. Trove’s owners are obviously passionate about sourcing produce locally, and they create delicious homemade seasonal grub that’s extremely competitively priced for what it is. Add to this an ideal hang-out for the hipper end of the local crowd with a large sharing table and you have the perfect recipe for a special place. They are also now serving pizzas on Saturday and Sunday nights to rapturous response – and you can take your own booze. Trove, 1032 Stockport Road, Levenshulme, M19 3EX, trovefoods.co.uk
