I love this photo taken by Marcus on Sunday. I think it may become a permanent resident on our website.

Hartwood
Friday, February 24th, 2012
This place looks amazing, apparently tucked away off a narrow road in Tulum, a low-key beach town on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, lies Hartwood, a restaurant known for its elemental beauty and open fire cooked dishes. The restaurant is unique in that it lacks walls and stoves, but provides a sanctuary for locals and visitors to enjoy impeccably fresh meals under the open sky.
I think its unlikely we’ll be visiting Mexico anytime soon but definitely one to put on the list for future adventures.

junk photography – rod kippen
Thursday, February 16th, 2012
Living and working in Levenshulme has given Marcus and I the oppotunity of meeting some very interesting people. One of which is our old neighbour rod kippen. You can read an interview with him in our little magazine.
He will be exhibiting some of his sculptural work in Trove from Monday 5 March. We will be having a few drinks to celebrate from 7pm so if you can come on down for a nosy, a chinwag and a drink (or two).

We have been receiving some fantastic help and advice from the lovely Gareth and Steph from Coffee Fix based in Gatley, Cheshire. They have given us some hints and tips to improve our coffee making skills so hopefully we can make much better quality coffees for you lovely folk.

changes to Trove (good ones of course)
Sunday, February 5th, 2012
Well we’ve had quite a few changes here, the main one is that Thor the bread oven has been fitted into our kitchen and Friday night saw the first batch of loaves made on the premises by the wonderful FlourWaterSalt. Paul and Eva baked over 200 loaves which included sourdough, foccacia, rye, white and malted & seeded. This will become the norm here at Trove but more and more options of loaves will be added as time goes on. More options will be added to the menu too which will include some delicious sandwiches.
Another change here at Trove is a couple of additions to our Team, Marcus’s sister, Jenna, has come on board and will be working here at the weekends and also our neighbour Hyacinth who is a textile artist. Both are lovely and very friendly so please say hello.
